Just ate at alfonso in prescott valley and the Mexican cashier was the rudest person ever come across. Not good for business but maybe they are so wealthy they don't need to be nice to the customers.

Tried this place twice. Not sure what the hype is? I've grown up on two different types of Mexican and this isn't close. It's okay but not great. Customer service is good but food is bland and salsa has no flavor at all. Burritos have huge amounts of leftover tortillas compared to filling and you get a huge chunk of one ingredient on one side and none on the other. Again nice people but don't see the hype

this is by far the most reasonably priced mexican food restaurant in town, with the BEST food. the serve breakfast ALL Day. And the Alfonsos Burrito Is $8.00 and will feed 3 full grown men. they use chunks of meat the size of taco bell burritos in their food. an extensive and wide selection of meals, drinks. with a free salsa bar that puts everywhere else to shame. our crew orders a minimum of 20 meals a week from there. we Love Alfonsos.

I read a bad review and it prompted me to give an update to my previous short review about Alfonso's. I have been going here for years and can only remember one bad meal and guess what I did? I returned it and guess what they did? They apologized and made it again for me. This place is not a gourmet restaurant, in case you didn't notice. It is a quick Mexican Food Restaurant, and it does that very well. If you ever get bad food at any restaurant, return it they won't spit on your food and if they do you won't know so it won't matter anyway.

Good Mexican food. The carne asada tacos are huge and tasty. Burros are good sized too. Will definitely come back to try other menu items. Reasonable prices.

Great value and great food - an authentic hole-in-the-wall Mexi joint. Their burritos and tacos are excellent! One burrito can cover two lunches, so at about $4.85 that's a great deal. Our workplace orders stuff up here several times a week.

Super Nachos........5 stars. GREAT carne in it. Great guacamole. Nice chips. Tamale.........1 star.........Dry and boring. Neither the masa nor the filling has any flavor. The only flavor is the enchalada sauce they pour over it. This area is a vast wasteland for tamale lovers, but this could be the worst we have experienced. I would rather eat a supermarket or even a canned tamale. Gebharts is way better. BLT Burrito ........2 stars.....Plenty of bacon, but it is overcooked and all on just one side, making it difficult to get a balanced taste in one bite. You either get a bite of bacon or a bite of lettuce and tomato. ............Tomatoes are flavorless and insufficient amount. I didn't know there were tomatoes this flavorless out there. Lettuce is OK. Mayo is flavorless. Never had such boring mayo. Tortilla perfectly scorched on griddle. It is a noisy place, with most of the noise coming from the kitchen staff talking very loudly and disputatiously in Spanish. We return again and again for the Super Nachos, though.

Getting out of the house with a newborn is a treat. She sleeps in the carseat, making drive-thrus ideal for getting some indulgent food while we're in town. Any time we escape the country and make it to Prescott Valley, we stop here. Seriously every time. We even stopped by on Christmas Eve but sadly they were already closed. My guy and I are rather obsessed with tacos here. Horchata too. And some times rolled tacos. But mostly the shredded beef tacos. They're currently $2.20 each, and we usually order 8-10 and just go crazy on them. Their red and green hot sauces are also great. It's a good thing we don't live closer, or we'd be eating here every day. Yum! I've been inside the place too a few times. I've also tasted their delicious quesadillas and the nachos. They also have a vending machine that sells stick-on mustaches for 50 cents or so. Fun vibe! I've always had positive experiences here and will continue to look forward to stopping by the drive thru whenever we're in town.

When our company hits goal we do a BBQ for our employees. This month a request was made to have Breakfast Burritos specifically from Alfonso's. Very good food and friendly people.

Alfonso's was okay the first few times I ate here. They served a decent chicken taco salad, and had great prices. The food is an Americanized Mexican food establishment. I really liked their beans and the salsa bar. However, the last time I went here was about a year ago, and it was the last time I would ever eat here. Want to know why? There were bones and chicken skin in my chimichanga. I think the goal of an establishment like this should be to uphold the quality while serving inexpensive food to working people. This treatment of food was just lazy and an insult to anyone who has any idea how to cook. If I were you, I'd think twice about eating here.

no one cooks Mex food like Alphy does, the all beef burritos, I need you to open an Alphonso's in Yucaipa, CA. the taste of real Mex food....like my Mama's... she's dead so I have to drive hear to taste food like she used to make..
